Zaltbommel, November 23, 2020 – Zepcam, the European leader and pioneer in mobile video solutions for frontline professionals, appoints Jurriaan Pröpper as its new CEO. Pröpper succeeds Bart van der Aa, who is shifting his focus within the company to product development and strategic alliances.
Pröpper has guided many other companies towards more profitable growth. He was previously a marketer at Unilever, a consultant at McKinsey, a partner at Adstrat Consulting, and a co-founder of the TEC Europe start-up program. For the past six years, he has been Managing director of OptiMedis Netherlands. At Zepcam, Pröpper will focus on accelerating company growth.
“Zepcam operates in an important and fast-growing market,” says Jurriaan Pröpper, new CEO of Zepcam. “Where police officers, ambulance personnel and supervisors increasingly feel unsafe in their work, body cameras are indispensable solutions. The use of body cameras has a clear preventive and de-escalating effect. Frontline professionals know that they are protected and supported in their work by body cameras. The solutions of Zepcam serve an important social purpose. They make the work of frontline professionals and our society safer and more transparent. I am therefore very enthusiastic about using my knowledge and experience for the expansion of Zepcam.”
The previous CEO and co-founder of Zepcam, Bart van der Aa, will remain active within the company. He is shifting his focus to product development, innovation and strategic alliances.
“Zepcam has grown from a Dutch company to a European leader,” says Bart van der Aa, co-founder of Zepcam. “I am proud that with a strong team we now serve customers in 40 countries and that many professionals such as the Dutch, German, and Swiss police, are carrying out their work more safely. Jurriaan has the right experience to take the company to the next phase and scale it up further.”
