iTraffic event management benefits from 4G livestreaming T3 bodycam

Independent Traffic Control Limited (iTraffic) specialises in the planning, design, implementation, and management of Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) services for all road levels, for all situations, nationwide. iTraffic has extensive experience in servicing various TTM projects and has a proven track record in project efficiency.
This time they were assigned the task of managing traffic and parking during a match of the National New Zealand Rugby team, the All Blacks.
The challenge
iTraffic had the challenging task to safely and efficiently manage the traffic and parking situation for thousands of fans, as well as the regular traffic flows. There was a need for supporting technology, as managers in the command post needed eyes in the field to support the relatively small team on the ground with safely managing such a large operation.
The command post needed eyes in the field, to better support their colleagues and react to developing situations with speed and decisiveness. They needed real-time information and data when it matters most.
The solution
iTraffic was supported in their search by Tactical Solutions, an official and experienced ZEPCAM partner for body worn camera solutions. There were two medical instances where paramedics and an ambulance had to be called in to assist. The organisers were given an instant look at the severity of the situation and managed to redirect resources.
The results
The implementation of ZEPCAM T3 Live bodycams was a great success, with positive reviews and exactly the benefits that were expected. The ZEPCAM T3 Live offered:

Learnings
Livestreaming bodycams greatly increase situational awareness, as direct, real-time data is fed back to the command post and equally direct support can be communicated to those on the ground. There were two medical instances during the night; with livestreamed footage, the decision to redirect resources was made quickly and efficiently.
Furthermore, the livestreamed footage was recorded on the server, and can now be used for auditing and training purposes. In several instances a collision and illegal parking were recorded. This evidence can now be used in the processing of claims. New and existing staff can also use the footage to learn from this situation, and further develop best practices for future improvement.
