Release Notes 2025.2

We are pleased to announce the release of ZEPCAM Manager ZEP2025.2, introducing powerful new functionalities and improvements to enhance operational efficiency, data control, and user management.

New Functionalities

Remote Start & Stop for T3 Bodycam

Bodycams in the field can now be remotely activated to start live streaming via ZEPCAM Manager (firmware version 3.6 or higher required).

  • Cameras connected wirelessly to the ZEPCAM server (green in the Live view) can be initiated remotely from the Live page. Similarly, an active livestream can be stopped using the “Stop” command.
  • To comply with privacy regulations, users of body cameras receive clear notifications when the camera is remotely started or stopped. Depending on the camera’s device profile, this notification can be delivered through various methods, including vibrations, audio cues, LED lights, and LCD text. For instance, in ‘stealth mode,’ notifications are only displayed on the LCD screen.

Alarm Button for T3 Bodycam

The T3 bodycam now includes an alarm feature that triggers an alert to integrated command and control systems. Pressing the live button for 8 seconds activates the alarm, initiating live streaming and GPS transmission to ZEPCAM Manager.

  • Alarm data—including user name, camera ID, timestamp, and location—can be transmitted to third-party systems using ZEPCAM’s API and webhooks.
  • Configurable via the device profile, alarm settings include: Enabling alarm mode via the live button
  • Customising alert feedback (audio, vibration, silent)
  • Setting alarm reminder intervals (e.g., every 30 seconds, every minute)
  • Forcing live stream activation when alarm mode is triggered
  • Activating alarm via ZEPCAM Bluetooth Trigger (e.g., when drawing a firearm)

Single Sign-On (SSO) Support

ZEPCAM Manager now supports Single Sign-On (SSO) via Open ID Connect and Microsoft Entra ID, offering centralised authentication and improved user experience for enterprise environments.

  • SSO enables users to log in using their organisation’s credentials.
  • Initial SSO integration supports login and access control; future updates will include role and rights management via the client’s identity provider.
  • The login page is customisable with a unique URL, logo, title, and branding.

💡 SSO is a premium service that requires assistance from a ZEPCAM technical consultant. It is available for both ZEPCAM Cloud and On-Premise solutions.

Multi Storage Support

This release introduces Multi Storage for flexible and compliant data storage. Organisations can now store recordings on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS-compatible, European cloud providers) or locally using ZEPCAM Local Offload.

This capability ensures alignment with organisational, legal, and data protection requirements.

💡 Multi Storage is a premium service that requires assistance from a ZEPCAM technical consultant. It is available for both ZEPCAM Cloud and On-Premise solutions.

Other Improvements and Bug Fixes

  • The password field only appears for local or CSV-imported user account
  • Improved date/time format for clarity in the Live view
  • GPS validation prevents recording false coordinates (e.g., 0,0)
  • Enhanced Bluetooth trigger support for general start/stop commands
  • The Bluetooth icon colour changed from green to blue
  • The live button now toggles start/stop with a single tap
  • Minicam IR LED is now disabled when docked or inactive to preserve battery life
