The Dutch Railways (Nederlandse Spoorwegen, NS) is the first public transportation organization in Europe to implement bodycams for train station employees nation-wide. Bodycams are already popular within law enforcement, but recently there is increased demand from the public sector and other industries.

Monitoring supported with cameras is a daily phenomenon. In the video room of the RTR at the police station in Nijmegen, video clips from fixed cameras come from all sorts of municipalities and business areas are being uploaded and processed. Video feeds from mobile cameras can be added to that.

All videos need to be processed, saved and passed through the Milestone Systems Video Management System Milestone Xprotect®. Police officers, like Hylco Wijnants who are seconded to the RTR, see which images should be forwarded to the control room. Of course, it may also occur that a 112 call enters the control room, which then requests the RTR to forward specific camera images.

“I believe that the bodycam can help employees positively influence an escalating situation and possibly even prevent an incident.”

This solution enables the Dutch Railways to manager their 800+ users and bodycams with no limitations. The captured video footage is safely stored within their On-Premise server environment, encrypted, and in this case, only accessible for assigned users.

The Dutch Railways is determined to keep increasing the safety of their employees and customers. Innovative solutions like the Zepcam bodycam solution has already proven it’s contribution in making this promise. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][vc_column width=”5/12″][vc_empty_space height=”150px”][vc_single_image image=”10082″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/12″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”90px”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
